You're talking about a developer who wasn't satisfied by simply creating the greatest new series last generation in Uncharted, so they decided to create a completely new IP with The Last of Us and in the process blew us away by not only delivering the game of the generation but a game many regard as the greatest game of all time.
Disagree that they look ugly, but there's no denying the beauty of Third Strike's sprites.

Chances are this will be altered before release anyway, especially now with the internet voicing it's disapproval.
Horizon: Zero Dawn and South Park: The Fractured, But Whole were my 2 favourite surprises of E3 this year.
Uncharted 4 and Fallout 4 were the 2 most impressive in terms of what was shown, but I always expected them both to be there and both looking great.
This game just can't compete with Uncharted 4.
Just realise this fact, move on and just enjoy the game.
I'll have the Uncharted Collection then Uncharted 4 to play early next year, so I'm happy to wait for the 60fps Definitive Edition of TR2 when it releases on PS4 next year.
I wouldn't be surprised if they get the PS4 version ready to go as soon as possible so that when the "Timed Exclusivity" deal expires they can get the PS4 version out there and actually make some money.

I only go digital if I have no other choice.
If my PS4 HDD was 5TB+ and digital was cheaper than retail then maybe I'd start to consider it (here I can get most retail versions at least $10-20 cheaper than I can on the PS Store).
Although I do like having a physical disc and case for my money.
Of all the amazing stuff at E3 so far, this one has stood out to me the most. This game has so much potential.
I don't care about the price, I just don't want VR.
I just want to continue playing awesome games on my huge ass TV with my DS4.

Actually, I use mine for both.
I've never used a handheld system as much as I've used my Vita. The closest would have been my DS Lite years ago when I pumped hundreds of hours into Animal Crossing WW.

I think it looks great... I just hope FO4 has a smooth frame rate & performs better on PS4 than FO3 did on PS3.
I'm more concerned about the frame rate.
If they have to tone down the graphical detail in order to get a solid frame rate, then I'm all for this.
I'd take a further downgrade if it meant 60fps on my system of choice.
